BELOW ARE SOME OF THE

                                 MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

(The first two are are the most repeated.)

Q  WILL YOUR CONTROLS WORK WITH MY PENTIUM - INTERGALACTIC 5000 GIGABYTE MAXI
TOWER COMPUTER WITH A G-X-YZ LIGHT SPEED GRAPHICS CARD WITH N- PIZZA CHIP SET AND
THE LATEST VERSION - OF THE PREVIOUS VERSION -O F THE NEXT VERSION OF THE WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM  ?????

A  YES, even though our controls are very specialised, they still have to conform to the same industry standard interfaces provided within your computer by being connected  to your USB port just like any other control device from the most basic tabletop joystick, all the way up to any of the systems we provide, and then be able to conform to the setup in the windows game control configuration window, just like a games type joystick. So in short, however up market your computer might be, (or not ) providing it will run your chosen simulation software and you can plug in any USB off the shelf games type joystick then, YES it will work with the any of our controls.

Will your controls work with Microsoft Flight Sim "X"and X-plane ?

It would be commercial suicide to build flight simulation controls that don't work with the major players in the flight sim software market  place. It would be akin to manufacturing umbrellas that were not suitable for use in the rain.

Q ARE YOUR CONTROLS SUITABLE FOR HOME USE?

A It is important to understand that our controls are vastly superior to the all plastic type of game controllers available from the high street computer stores. And although now being used by many flight sim enthusiasts world wide, the M.R.V.C and Ranger systems are primarily designed as a serious training aid and  currently in use with professional establishments including the Royal Air Force, Police, Flying schools, and other military training centers using both off the shelf, and dedicated software. The controls will operate with all the popular, flight sim software so as an enthusiast you can now have this level or control in your home.

Q WILL YOUR CONTROLS WORK WITH MY MAC COMPUTER?

A Of course they will, Mac's are great ! they usually work with anything.

Q IF I ORDER YOUR MRVC CONTROLS. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST HELI- SIM SOFTWARE TO USE?

A There is no one best software package and the position is changing constantly with new add-on's and
patches arriving all the time. If you want the best all round sim software at the time of writing then
M.S FLIGHTSIM 2004 Professional or FSX will keep you visually entertained for hours and help you to understand
the basics of helicopter and fixed wing flight and control.

If you want the best representation of helicopter and fixed wing flight dynamics with a higher level of control, then at the time of
writing X-Plane is well out in front of the rest, but you need to be prepared to download constant updates and changes to the software and you will also have to work harder to gain control skills.

I would recommend you obtain both then you have all the options.

If you live in the UK you will need the scenery add-ons for MS 2004 and Flight Sim "X" as the scenery provided  takes the visual aspect from a totally unrecognisable landscape created by someone at Microsoft who thinks the UK looks like a miniature version of some flat part of the USA. The
scenery add-ons  produce the English countryside complete with hills and valleys.

As for the UK scenery in X-Plane. Well the version I have in my computer looks like someone has dumped a huge can of green slime on the landscape and then jumped on it. ( the sky looks good ) I understand that you can now purchase add-on UK Scenery.

You can obtain information and mail order all the latest upgrades and add-ons for both products from  www.rcsimulations.com

IS IT POSSIBLE  USE THE HELICOPTER CONTROLS TO FLY FIXED WING FLIGHT SIMS?

Yes you can use the collective lever as the throttle or replace the collective lever with our throttle module. The pedals and long shaft stick are common to both configurations and you can easily change from one type of cockpit to the other very quickly if you have both modules. You only need one side frame to mount the throttle and you can mount it on the left or right hand side. You can also have the collective and the throttle mounted on each side of the floor frame at the same time and just plug in the one you want to use.

CAN I HAVE A COLLECTIVE LEVER FITTED WITH A TWIST THROTTLE ?

Our  helicopter twist throttles are available in two versions. The twist throttle only unit is designed to work with any Helicopter software that supports a collective throttle as part of  it's configurable assignment options.

Our advanced 206 Jet Ranger version throttle is a dedicated full turbine engine control system specifically designed to totally interface with the Do-Do-sim software that you will have to purchase separately as we do not stock, or supply any flight sim software.

Both the above described throttle units can be supplied as optional extras designed to fit onto any of our standard helicopter collective levers and have their own independent USB pre-calibrated control boxes.  If you decide to order one of our control systems we can fit a throttle for you, or you can purchase one as an add-on  later. If you don't have one of our control systems, you can still use either of the throttle types independently ,but you will have to construct your own up/down collective lever with a 1" or 25mm open ended steel tube that will allow you to slide, and lock either type of our throttle units over the end of your lever tube.

With regard to software that will interface with our dedicated 206 Jet Ranger controller  You will need the Do-Do-sim add-on for  Microsoft Flight Sim 2004 (a version for Flight sim "X" should be available soon ) to give you the basic virtual world environment in which to operate. If you want to get seriously involved in real helicopter dynamics, then click onto this link to go to the Do-Do-Sim web site www.dodosim.com  .

WILL MY C.H. YOKE WITH YOUR MRVC PEDALS?

The USB pedals are a mated part of the M.R.V.C control system and together with the long shaft stick make a far more sensitive control package than any of the other combinations on offer, but unfortunately this is no consolation to anyone who has already bought other controls as they will positively not connect to our USB pedals. I did have a look at other yokes including the CH yoke to see if it might be worth offering a conversion to make them compatible, but decided that although the electronics in some of these were well up to the job, mechanically they were just to low quality to be worth the effort. So we decided to produce our own yoke to the same high performance and quality as the rest of the MRVC system. see information page.  (we can now provide a special control box that will allow direct connection of our pedals to your computer USB port)
I ALREADY HAVE PEDALS CAN I MATCH THEM TO YOUR LONG SHAFT STICK?

A You cannot connect directly to the LONG SHAFT stick, but if your pedals have direct USB input you may be able to connect alongside provided you obtain a port blanking connector from us to close off the unused LONG SHAFT pedal socket at the base of the stick.

CAN THE MRVC PEDALS BE USED ON THEIR OWN.

(we can now provide a special control box that will allow direct connection of our pedals to your computer USB port)

I WANT TO LEARN TO FLY A MICROLITE.  WILL YOUR CONTROLS HELP? AND DO YOU KNOW OF ANY SUITABLE SOFTWARE?

A Yes two both questions. We custom built and installed the first Microlite DUAL CONTROLS for the UK Microlite Flying School at POPHAM airfield. They use a version of MS Flight sim and a readily available Microlite  aircraft add-on file for students to use. We have also recently added a set of dedicated two axis"flex-wing trike" controls to out product range.

Q  WHAT IS THE COST OF THE MRVC SYSTEM?

A THIS WILL DEPEND ON THE TYPE OF CONFIGURATION YOU CHOSE AND IF YOU NEED ANY EXTRA ADD-ON''S..ALL PRICES, SHIPPING COSTS DELIVERY AND PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE OBTAINED DIRECTLY FROM US OR OUR UK DISTRIBUTOR www.rcsimulations.com
